Honest Moments
Who doesn't love a good honest moment? I'm not talking about just candid captures- but actual, real, genuine moments in our lives. Moments in which you recognize that there is no room for "trying" but rather embracing your being. These moments are not always positive, in fact the negative moments are much more resonating.
Moments like the way we get excited to see our pets when we've been away from them for 2 months (or even 2 days). The moment you notice you are by yourself and have to face that negative voice in your head, alone. The moment you watch somebody laugh so hard- they begin to cry. Seeing someone be moved to tears by something meaningful or even hurtful. The moment when vulnerability attacks somebody that tries so hard every day to be strong, but the look in their eyes cannot lie about how broken they really feel. The moment you let go of something that once meant so much to you because it isn't good for you anymore. The newfound confidence you feel when you learn something new about yourself. The moment you understand that everything in your life is happening just they way it should. The moment you realize that the first step to being okay, is not being okay. These moments aren't just memories, or experiences.
These moments help keep us in line and realize that we are exactly where we need to be in our lives at the current moment.
Above all else- these moments remind us that we are sentient beings.
These are existential truths to our souls- enriching our lives and reminding us that we aren't just alive- but we are living.
